VISIT FLORIDA is looking for a team-orientated, results driven professional to join our Operations team. The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s external communications strategy with media and public stakeholders. This role is located in Florida, with a strong preference to be located in our corporate office in Tallahassee, FL.

Core Responsibilities:
Work with executive leadership to manage and execute the organization’s external corporate communications strategy.
Manage corporate media relations. Build positive working relationships and respond to media requests.
Research, write, develop, and promote a range of VISIT FLORIDA core communication tools such as press releases, talking points, presentations, and media materials relating to tourism in Florida.
Provide significant support for corporate crisis management operations and represent organization as necessary.
Prepare, distribute and pitch corporate news releases and stories to key media outlets relating to VISIT FLORIDA activities and issues affecting Florida Tourism; position VISIT FLORIDA and staff as tourism industry thought leaders and target key speaking engagements and media opportunities for exposure. Monitor, analyze and evaluate media coverage.
Assist with various communication and meeting material needs relating to the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors.
Provide significant support for the planning, production and marketing operations of corporate events.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or relevant field
3 + years of communications experience.
Detail-orientated, proactive, critical thinker with excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Self starter who can work well in teams or independently.
Strong proficiency in media relations a must.
Experience with Marketing Cloud and Salesforce a plus.
