Community Engagement Representative

Description

Assist the Executive Director of a Boca Raton non-profit organization with the overall management of the foundation’s programs. Position is part-time with the opportunity for a full-time position after 6 months.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Understand and work to meet and exceed the needs of the Foundation
• Represent Foundation at community events
• Liaise with middle and high school administration and provide organizational support and establish ongoing communication.
• Conduct weekly follow-up with on site contacts to discuss issues related to program status and any changes
• Address challenges and concerns identified by on-site contacts and evaluate any future program goals.
• Demonstrate competency in leadership skills, work and service
• Fundraise for the Foundation
• Network with key players in the organization, community and state
• Market Foundation’s events and educational programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or in the process of achieving a degree) with emphasis on Business, English, Journalism, Computer/Technology
• Experience in administration, supervision, program development, and volunteering with a community program
• Flexibility, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and use sound judgment to include new demands into work schedule
• Energetic, positive, “can-do” attitude, committed, well prepared and diplomatic; high degree of initiative
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrating ability to work independently and creatively on projects, some of which require a high degree of thoroughness, responsibility, and accountability
• Create campaigns for social media outreach
