This is a highly professional position with tasks for this position including:
*Managing correspondence for the Governor’s Office and the general public while meeting strict deadlines. This includes reviewing all inquiries received via the website or [email protected]; working with the Ombudsman, ROMs, Deputy ROMs, Inspector General, and/or other staff to resolve Governor’s Assignments or inquiries; entering updates in the Governor’s Office online portal; and tracking each assignment or inquiry by date received, date resolved, topic, and department.
*Videography and photography for the agency, including project management, scripting, shoots, editing, and uploading to platform
*Conducting interviews, writing, and editing success stories, articles, and other agency publications
*Assisting with edits to the website
*Assisting with planning and staffing special events
*Assisting with disseminating news stories to the agency
*Updating media contacts database
*Performing other duties as assigned

*Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Telecommunications, English, Communications, or related fields from an accredited university or college
*Must be willing and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
*Must have video production experience
*Experience editing websites preferred
*Experience working in a Communications or Public Relations office preferred
*Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential preferred
