COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
CareerSource Florida is currently seeking a Communications Manager. As the state workforce investment and policy board, CareerSource Florida leads the design and implementation of strategies that help Floridians enter, remain and advance in the workforce.
The Communications Manager is responsible for executing priorities in the CareerSource Florida Integrated Communications Plan and supporting the Communications Director in determining the appropriate response to a communications request for internal and/or external communications, media relations, and/or board/executive events. This position coordinates progress on requests for communications support and, upon approval, engages vendors when necessary. The position oversees, in coordination with the Department of Economic Opportunity, the CareerSource Florida network’s brand management and adherence with brand standards. In addition, the position manages CareerSource Florida’s social media efforts and day-to-day coordination with partners’/stakeholders’ communications teams.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates must possess expert written and verbal communication skills and a minimum of three (3) years of professional or corporate communications, marketing or public relations experience. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in digital outreach including social media and email marketing software is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is required.
