Description
The Communications Coordinator supports the Agency’s external and internal communications efforts by developing engaging content and managing key communication platforms. This position plays a vital role in promoting APD’s mission, programs, and initiatives to stakeholders across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Agency’s social media platforms, including content development, scheduling, engagement, and performance monitoring.
- Develop, design, and distribute agency newsletters and other digital communications.
- Create graphic design materials for publications, presentations, campaigns, and special initiatives.
- Lead videography and photography efforts, including project management, scripting, coordinating shoots, editing, and publishing content across platforms.
- Conduct interviews and develop written content such as success stories, feature articles, and other agency publications.
- Assist with website content updates and edits to ensure information is accurate and timely.
- Support the planning, coordination, and staffing of agency events and outreach activities.
- Assist in distributing news stories and media coverage internally across the agency.
- Maintain and update the agency’s media contacts database.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Office of Communications.
Qualifications
One year communications experience.
