The Florida Home Builders Association is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our team! We are looking for a self-starter who has experience utilizing both digital and traditional marketing strategies and communications. The coordinator will be responsible for managing internal and external communications including but not limited to e-newsletters, website content, social media, association marketing campaigns and other projects as assigned. This is a mid-level professional position reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, but working closely with all internal staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate engaging content throughout publications, website and social media; i.e. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram,
  • Curate content for weekly e-news sent via Informz
  • Assist in gathering material, writing or editing content as needed
  • Manage FHBA family of websites
  • Maintain schedules for all editorial activities including web publication schedules, preferred partnership marketing agreements and member marketing campaigns
  • Use analytics to ensure that website is user-friendly for both association members and outside audiences
  • Graphically communicate concepts by designing layout of art and copy for association related activities, products and events
  • Prepare design files and technical specifications for vendors or internal stakeholders, to be used in various marketing and related campaigns
  • Design and update a wide range of digital and print collateral including graphics, logos/identifiers, ads, brochures, email headers, templates, signage, website and social media content.
  • Provide marketing and communication support to local association executive officers
  • Occasional travel for association related events and conferences
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum two years’ experience (may include relevant internships)
  • Journalism, Public Relations, Communications major a plus
  • Strong writing skills, working knowledge of AP style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving; ability to thrive in a small team environment
  • An eye for compelling visuals and graphics
  • Experience in crafting and implementing messaging strategy
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of design principles and tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic Attendance is essential to this role
