The Florida Office of Financial Regulation is seeking self-motivated, engaging candidates who have 1-2 years of experience in communications and public relations. The communications coordinator is a hands-on member of the Communications Office team who assists with writing, pitching, message development, research, social media content, and other special projects. This position is part-time (30 hours/week), and offers the opportunity to earn valuable experience while building essential communication skills.


Ideal candidates have the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Qualities: self-motivation, dependability, creativity;
  • Ability to start, manage and finish projects quickly and efficiently;
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
