Communications Assistant

Description

This is a part-time position. The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating information flow in order to coordinate consumer outreach events and development of relevant materials, and to provide a clear and unified message about the agency and its mission.

Develops and coordinates investor education, financial literacy, and consumer protection campaigns, targeting Florida consumers. Researches and develops content for social media and website that targets Florida financial services consumers, including the elderly and youth.

Plans and coordinates agency outreach events and webinars, preparing and distributing fact sheets and written materials to members of the public. Identifies outreach events hosted by partner organizations and organizes OFR participation.
Responsible for development of graphics, scripts, talking points and multimedia presentations. Photographs events for social media use. May represent the agency during community events and at public gatherings.

Performs other duties as assigned.
