Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for University Relations, the Director of University Marketing and Brand Services manages the University’s marketing and Communications and brand services functions to develop, deliver, assess, and refine a comprehensive integrated marketing communications and brand management. The major duties include supervision of daily activities and projects to achieve maximum impact in support of constituencies and highest level of client satisfaction. He/she will manage, motivate, supervise, and evaluate a team of creative professionals and services to ensure a consistent, professional, and long-term strategy and business operations to include: creative services and account managers serving various colleges and divisions as well as elaboration with a university wide network of marketing and communications professionals. Working with the University Communications Business Operations Manger, he/she will develop and implement business and financial solutions to and oversee a staff in implementing programs to reach University short- and long-term goals in alignment with the institution’s mission, vision, strategic initiatives, and brand services.
~ Oversees creative services including account mangers in the development, creation and effectiveness of print and digital collateral materials in support of the University’s strengths and distinctiveness
~ Oversees all off-campus graphic design contracts and works with freelance contractors and advertising agencies as necessary
~ Reinforces and protects the University Brand through the development, delivery of brand resources, training and brand compliance review process
~ Identifies, develops and tracks marketing, promotional and brand outreach to enhance the University*s reputation and alignment with strategic key initiatives and develops and supports promotions that further advance the University*s reputation
~ Manages, in partnership with the Business Operations Manger, resources, budget, project tracking and scheduling and works proactively to develop project goals, guidelines and deadlines to insure timely and cost-effective delivery.
~ Identifies opportunities for collaborations and partnerships to affect change to include analysis and tracking of-ROI and impact of promotions, advertising and collateral

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in related field and 6 years of experience in Strategic Marketing, preferably in Higher Education and/Or creative environment or a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in the same.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in brand management, integrated marketing communications, strategy development in higher education or related field; Proven outstanding project management skills; Ability to responsibly and creatively manage a budget to ensure impact; Successes in managing, supporting and motivating staff; Proven ability to bring a strategic orientation to daily work decision-making and resources and to relate daily work to strategic priorities; Proven ability to multitask, balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines; Excellent written and oral communications skills; Knowledge, experience and expertise with technology, assist in communication and marketing; Proven ability to generate innovative solutions and create cost effective alternatives; Proven positive work ethic and professional attitude; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; ability to travel on and off campus for communications related activities.
