About us: Golden Lighting, a nationally recognized brand, is a growing company of about 40 employees specializing in the design and manufacture of residential lighting products. We are a privately held company (not a publicly traded one), which means we make business decisions that benefit our employees and customers instead of focusing on increasing the share value of outside investors. We are also not a start-up company that could close shop if the next round of venture capital doesn’t come through. One of our core values is being innovative within our industry, and we are constantly researching new product trends, more streamlined ways of operating, and new technologies to develop. As Golden Lighting is in an exciting growth phase, we are searching for a motivated and creative Brand Manager to join our team.

About this position: The Brand Manager will develop and implement brand activities that increase brand value, awareness, and market share. You will work closely with different teams to create and execute brand-building initiatives that resonate with the target market and increase sales. You will also be tasked with developing budgets, forecasting sales figures, and assessing KPIs and ROI.

To succeed in this position you must understand consumer behavior, be up to date on market trends, and continuously monitor competitor activity. You will also be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, developing go-to-market strategies, and reporting on brand performance. All of this will lead to developing our lighting product range to maximize sales and profitability.

Essential Functions of the Brand Manager:

  • Developing strategies and managing marketing campaigns across print, broadcast and online platforms to ensure that products and services meet customers’ expectations and to build the credibility of brands
  • Carrying out market research in order to keep up to date with customer trends, as well as trying to predict future trends
  • Analyzing the success of marketing campaigns and creating reports
  • Supervising advertising, product design, and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in branding
  • Meeting with clients and working with colleagues across multiple departments (such as marketing assistants, marketing managers and chief marketing officers)
  • Managing a budget and a team of five employees
  • Organizing events such as product launches, exhibitions, and photoshoots
  • Working hand-in-hand with our manufacturing partners to ensure quality and branding standards
  • Leading the design, marketing, and branding teams to deliver results


This job might be for you if you:

  • Have 5+ years of professional marketing or brand management experience demonstrating successful marketing campaigns and engaging content creation
  • Have 3+ years of supervisory experience mentoring junior level marketing employees
  • Have a hands-on, “in the trenches” style work ethic, high level of energy, and contagious enthusiasm
  • Are highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Are able to effectively explain your thoughts, ideas, and analysis results (both written and oral)
  • Have previous experience with strategy development and planning campaigns that can promote the business and generate genuine consumer traffic
  • Have experience with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Have experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Have experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Have experience with a CRM or ERP system
  • Can successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Are comfortable traveling domestically a few times a year (approximately 10% travel) We are open to considering out-of-town candidates who wish to work remotely, but would highly prefer applicants that are willing to relocate to Tallahassee, FL.

  • 5+ years of professional brand management experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • College degree in marketing, business, or relevant field preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically a few times per year
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
