The Associate Director of Marketing plays a critical role at the intersection of strategy, creative execution, and client management. This position supports and leads integrated marketing initiatives while ensuring all creative output, from campaigns to content, is visually compelling, on-brand, and strategically aligned. This role is ideal for an entry-to mid-level marketing professional who combines strong organizational and account management skills with a sharp creative eye and design capability. You will help guide campaigns from concept through execution, contributing to both high-level marketing strategy and hands-on creative development.

Key Responsibilities

Client Strategy & Account Leadership

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trust and long-term relationships
  • Support and contribute to marketing strategy development aligned with client goals, audiences, and brand positioning
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions
  • Translate client needs into clear internal direction across teams

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and experiential channels
  • Support content strategy development with a focus on audience engagement and brand storytelling
  • Analyze campaign performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic recommendations
  • Track and report on KPIs, campaign performance, and ROI

Creative Direction & Graphic Design

  • Contribute to creative direction for campaigns, content, and brand initiatives
  • Design high-quality marketing materials, including:
    • Social media graphics
    • Campaign assets
    • Presentations and pitch materials
    • Print and digital collateral
  • Ensure all creative output aligns with brand identity, tone, and visual standards across platforms
  • Develop mood boards, visual concepts, and creative frameworks to guide execution
  • Maintain and evolve brand templates and design systems

Content & Social Media

  • Support the development of written and visual content for social, web, and campaigns
  • Coordinate social media execution, including scheduling, platform management, and performance tracking
  • Ensure content is audience-focused, on-brand, and strategically aligned

Project & Operations Management

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflows across multiple accounts
  • Track budgets, billable hours, and scope to ensure efficient resource use
  • Coordinate across strategy, creative, and production teams to maintain alignment
  • Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, and brand consistency before client delivery
  • Help develop systems and processes to improve efficiency and execution

Collaboration & Growth

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors
  • Contribute ideas that elevate creative output and campaign performance
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, platforms, and emerging technologies

Location
Hybrid – Majority Office + Remote Flexibility — (Office in Tallahassee / Travel to Thomasville as needed)

Compensation
Salary commensurate with entry-to-mid-level experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or agency environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns from strategy through execution
  • Strong understanding of branding, audience strategy, and integrated marketing
  • Experience with campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis
  • Strong client relationship and account management abilities
  • Strong eye for design, layout, and visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar
  • Experience creating social media content and marketing assets
  • Ability to apply and maintain brand identity systems across platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
  • Willingness to travel as requested​
