Sachs Media is seeking a dynamic and driven Account Executive to join its team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is a strong writer, a confident communicator, and someone who is able to adapt to the ever-changing nature of public affairs and public relations priorities and projects. Qualifications

Candidates must have a four-year degree in communications, political science, or a related area of study AND at least two years of relevant experience in a related role. In addition, the ideal candidate:

  • Communicates effectively, writes persuasively, and clearly presents strategies and ideas
  • Understands political dynamics and demands and consumes relevant news
  • Embraces high-stakes challenges on a wide range of issues that make a meaningful impact on people’s lives
  • Demonstrates an ability to execute communications plans and manage multiple issues or clients
  • Has an eye for design and an ability to provide creative teams with direction
  • Recognizes the importance of staying organized and remaining on top of pressing priorities
  • Takes individual initiative while being part of a strong team that works collaboratively

Responsibilities:
Communications Services

  • Remains current on trends in public relations, state government, and communications
  • Writes and edits op-eds, fact sheets, news releases, media advisories, backgrounders, and other collateral materials in order to advance client issues
  • Follows legislative and regulatory developments on issues in multiple states
  • Assists with the planning, scripting, and executing of special events on behalf of clients
  • Attends client meetings, providing strategic counsel and communications support
  • Assists in the development of communications and advertising plans for assigned clients
  • Researches issues and writes accurate and effective media materials and pitches

Account/Project Management

  • Ensures a high standard of excellence for all work produced
  • Creates compelling and visually appealing PowerPoint decks and other client presentations
  • Works with vendors for estimates based on client’s needs and helps plan media and other events, as necessary
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy with clients to develop and implement communication strategies that meet their needs and achieve their goals
  • Manages relationships with co-workers with a high degree of professionalism and collaboration
  • Works to advance the goals of the firm by supporting internal promotional and communications efforts

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia (preferred)

Travel: 10% (Required)
