Qualifications

Candidates must have a four-year degree in communications, public relations, health policy, or a related area of study, and at least two years of relevant experience in a health-related communications role. In addition, the ideal candidate:

• Communicates effectively, writes persuasively, and tailors messages to diverse audiences
• Possesses strong media relations skills with existing relationships among health reporters and editors
• Understands healthcare industry dynamics, including providers, payers, health systems, regulatory basics, and patient advocacy
• Demonstrates an ability to elevate and explain complex healthcare business issues clearly and accurately
• Can execute earned media campaigns that build visibility and credibility for health clients
• Brings experience with internal communications for health systems or organizations
• Recognizes the importance of staying organized and managing multiple priorities with precision
• Takes individual initiative while being part of a collaborative, high-performing team
