Wanted: Nonprofits Looking for Free Public Relations Guidance

The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Capital Chapter is hosting its annual ‘ER for PR’ community event on Thursday, Sept. 22. This event pairs local nonprofits with public relations professionals for a free counseling session to determine the best communications tactics for their goals and mission. Participating organizations will receive a 90-minute session and leave with a toolkit full of helpful tips on drafting press materials, determining media sources and general public relations information.

“The FPRA Capital Chapter is proud to give back to the Big Bend region each year through our ‘ER for PR’ program,” said Holly Brooks, incoming president of the FPRA Capital Chapter. “Many of our members are actively involved in community service work, and this event highlights the strong relationships between our PR and nonprofit communities.”

Big Bend area nonprofits interested in participating are encouraged to apply by Friday, Sept. 9, via the FPRA Capital Chapter’s website.

The event will be Thursday, Sept. 22, from 9 – 11:30 a.m. at the Florida Health Care Association building (307 W Park Ave #100) in downtown Tallahassee. ER for PR is being sponsored this year by the Florida Health Care Association and MillCreek Financial Consultants.
