FPRA Capital Chapter is sponsoring one FPRA student chapter member to attend this year’s annual conference. FPRA student chapter members will have the opportunity to hear from and network with PR professionals!

Student Field Trip: Universal Orlando Resort’s Jurassic World VelociCoaster Behind the Scenes Experience
Students! Are you ready to Brave the Hunt at Universal Orlando Resort? During this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, student attendees will meet the masterminds behind Universal’s newest award-winning attraction, Jurassic World VelociCoaster. You’ll hear straight from the experts what it took to unleash Florida’s fastest, tallest and most intense launch coaster ever created – catapulting riders 155 feet into the air at extreme speeds up to 70 mph while racing alongside a ferocious Velociraptor pack. You’ll also spend time with members of the Universal Orlando PR team and learn how they turned this apex predator coaster into a blockbuster PR campaign. Space is limited, so secure your spot now!

Where: The Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes Orlando
What the scholarship includes:
- Conference fee for the student, meals during the conference events, hotel stay for three nights, and mileage reimbursement (does not include food outside of the conference meals)
- One-on-one mentorship/Q&A meeting with a professional in a field of your choice (e.g., social media marketing, video, crisis communications, corporate branding, etc.)

This year, we’ve made it easy and fun to apply by submitting a video to FlipGrid!

Simply submit your video at our FlipGrid site by following these rules:
– Under 2 minute video
– Deadline is Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET
– Your video must contain your name, major/area of study, and a response to at least these three questions:
- Why are you interested in attending the FPRA State conference?
- What are you most looking forward to?
- How will this conference help advance you personally or professionally?
Your submission is private and will only be reviewed only by the judges to select a winner. By submitting your entry, you are confirming that you are available to attend the full conference from August 7 through August 10 and agree to go if you are selected as the winner.

Leading up to receiving the scholarship, I had just graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in PR and advertising.
