Capital-area public relations firms plan to “let the good times roll” this week when Florida Public Relations Association’s Capital Chapter hosts its annual signature Image Awards ceremony this Thursday, followed by a Mardi Gras-themed social at Krewe de Gras in Midtown that evening.

Sponsored by Ron Sachs Communications, CoreMessage, Inc., Salter>Mitchell, Amplify Entertainment, Lynne Adams Takacs Consulting, and Hook, Line & Sinker, the Capital Chapter’s biggest awards ceremony will recognize this area’s outstanding public relations programs and tools on Thursday, April 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at FSU’s Alumni Center. Afterward, there will be a social at Krewe de Gras, located at 1304 N. Monroe St., starting at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the winners and to network with FPRA members.

The Capital Chapter of FPRA, Florida’s oldest and largest chapter, represents nearly every industry in the area, including government, associations, non-profits, education, healthcare, legal, corporate, retail, and small business.  In addition to the Image Awards, the chapter holds annual events that support the Tallahassee area, including its annual “ER for PR” public relations counseling workshop.
