FPRA Capital Chapter Announces 12th Annual ER for PR
FPRA’s Capital Chapter will host the 12th annual ER for PR event, a free counseling workshop for non-profit organizations, on March 17, 2011.
Local charities and not-for-profit organizations which may not have the resources for marketing and communication staff are provided the opportunity to be counseled one-on-one by experienced public relations and communications specialists. The local organizations selected from an extensive applicant pool will be counseled on a variety of topics—from implementing attention getting public awareness campaigns to effective media relations strategies by their FPRA professional “medics” and public relations students.
In addition to these individual counseling sessions, this year’s event will offer communications workshops open to participating non-profits, other interested charities, FPRA members and others. These workshops will be led by local experts and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. There will be a small cost associated with these workshops.
In keeping with the 2.0, updated version of the Capital Chapter’s signature community service event, this year’s ER for PR will conclude with a cocktail hour and silent media auction, where local small businesses and not-for-profit organizations will have the opportunity to bid on a wide range of discounted advertising and media items.
