Enhancing the Profession since 1938

FPRA Capital Chapter

Community Service

The Capital Chapter believes in giving back to our community. Through a series of annual activities, our members donate their talents and experience to local and national non-profit organizations whose brands align with those of the Florida Public Relations Association. In doing so, the chapter increases the visibility and credibility of the public relations profession and the Tallahassee community.

ER for PR

The Florida Public Relations Association is committed to giving back to its community through ER for PR. The workshop partners nonprofit agencies with FPRA members for a free two-hour, one-on-one public relations counseling session. Selected agencies received information and guidance on how to effectively plan for and publicize an upcoming special event, new program, or public awareness campaign. This is FPRA’s way of saying thank you to the service organizations in the Big Bend area for all their hard work and tireless commitment to our residents.

9 to 5 Clothing Drive

Each spring, the Capital Chapter coordinates a clothing drive to benefit job seekers in need of professional attire. During the annual “9 to 5 Clothing Drive,” chapter members donate gently used professional clothing and accessories to the local workforce training center and homeless shelter. The activity is coordinated each spring by the Community Service Chair.
